DARRYL RONALD JOHNSON
With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Darryl Johnson.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Christmas, mother, Nettie, sister, Wendy (Geoff), niece, Nicole (Eric), nephew, Reid (Tamara), along with many extended family members and cherished friends. He is reunited with his father, Ron, who passed before him.
Darryl’s greatest joy in life was his daughter, Christmas. He was endlessly proud of her accomplishments, her dedication to hockey, and the bright future ahead of her. His love and encouragement will continue to guide her always.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. George at the Grace Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darryl’s memory to the True North Youth Foundation, an organization close to his heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bord-Aire Community Club, 471 Hampton St., on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. as we gather to share stories, laughter, and fond memories of Darryl.

I was Principal at Christmas’ elementary school. I remember Christmas as being a strong, independent, caring student. We are all so proud of Christmas and her amazing journey growing up and working hard to craft and refine her super skills in hockey and with being a kind, caring, contributing community member. Darryl raised an incredible human. He was such a giving community member and will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Jane Couch (Former teacher) on: Sep 25, 2025
