On the evening of September 10, 2025, with her family by her side, Lorraine Elizabeth “Joan” Vanstone peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness, at the age of 84.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her children, Laurie (Ken) of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Lorne (Cara) of Calgary, Alberta; her grandchildren, Riley (Ahkila), Mitchell (Annalise), and Julia. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert “Bob” Vanstone; her eldest son, Ross William Vanstone, and her younger brother, Lorne Jamison.
A combined funeral service to honour both Bob and Joan is planned for Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Avenue in Winnipeg.
