Victoria Norma Syganiec, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on September 28, 2025, at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB. She was 81 years old.
Victoria (Vicky) is lovingly remembered by her companion Roger Braithwaite. She is also survived by her eight children: Keith, Ken, Kelvin and Kelly Mantik; Krysta (Wilkinson) Giles. Vicky has been blessed with 35 grandchildren, including greats and great greats.
Vicky was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Norma Syganiec, and a younger brother, Barry. She leaves behind five brothers: Allan, Wayne, Victor, Kevin and Tim Syganiec; and two sisters: Barbara (Syganiec) Noftall and Karen (Syganiec) Moroz. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Vicky was born on May 16, 1944, in Portage la Prairie, and raised in the Cooks Creek, MB area. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, camping, dancing and her Bingo. Her generous and kind spirit will be missed by all.
Vicky’s family is grateful to the health care professionals that cared for her during the years of her cancer treatments. Also, a Thank You and appreciation to the doctors and care staff at the Palliative Care Ward (3E) at Riverview Health Centre.
A Celebration of Life to honour Victoria Syganiec will be held on Tuesday October 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, located at 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB. Cremation will have taken place. A reception at Cropo will follow the service, with interment of ashes concluding this event at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Michael’s New Roman Catholic Cemetery, located at Cooks Creek, MB.
