EDMOND HENRY VELDKAMP LOUISE MARIE VELDKAMP

July 11, 1936 - August 27, 2025

May 22, 1936 - October 12, 2025


Peacefully, with their children by their sides, Edmond passed away on August 27, 2025, and Louise passed away on October 12, 2025.

They will be missed by their children: Carol (Michael), Denise (George), Shelley (Glenn), Laura (Raymond), Keith (Heather), Glenn (Carol), their grandchildren Lyndsie, Mandi (Daniel), Jennifer (Richmond), Brian (Karen), Ryan (Michelle), Jeffrey (Vanessa), Kayla (Bryson), Jessica (Darcy), Tyler (April), Alexandria (Jordan), Kaden and Brennen, their great-grandchildren Adison, Quinton, Wyatt, Mila, Liam, Amelia, Tyson, Carter, Melanie, Elyse, Lewis, Camila, Gabriela, Nathan, Lucas, Elizabeth and Henry.

Dad and Mom met and married in B.C. After having Carol and Denise they moved back to Winnipeg. Here they had Shelley, Laura, Keith and Glenn.

Dad worked for many years at Goodyear Tire and Mom worked at Dominion and Safeway.

Mom and Dad were very involved in all of their children’s activities. They were also involved in Sinclair Park Bingo and Immaculate Conception Bingo. Dad was a member of the Knights of Columbus and mom volunteered on our Sports Associations.

The highlight of their lives was watching their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren play their many sports.

They retired in Sandy Hook then moved to Selkirk then back to Winnipeg.

They will both be forever loved and missed by their family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St. Selkirk, Mb. A light lunch to follow.

A special thank you to the staff at the Grace Hospital and the HSC Stroke Unit for their great care.
