Frederick William VanKoughnet died October 26, 2025. He was born October 11, 1928, in the Carman Memorial Hospital to Will and Clara VanKoughnet from the Ostrander District.
He grew up on the farm with his four sisters and usually the teacher boarded with their family as well. Fred loved farming and was good at it. He was also very involved in community affairs.
Fred is survived by his children: Jim (Cathy), their daughter Grace (Josh), Lois (Sri), their daughter Kiran, Colleen (Terry), their daughter Lisa (Brad), great-granddaughter Alecia (Riley), great-grandson Ty (Brooklyn), Iverson, son Mark (Ainsley), great-grandchildren Shane, Bryn, and Jace, Reimer, daughter Jill(Jeremy), great-granddaughter Avery, Klassen, Brent (Jocelyn), and their son Joel and daughter Katie.
He was predeceased by his wife Joyce VanKoughnet September 3, 2023.
Funeral service in Carman United Church October 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
