With love and a sense of peace, we share that John Elmar Silver took his final bow on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Thanks to the compassionate care of the MAID team, he was fortunate to orchestrate his grand finale with rich cheesecake and great music and surrounded by his close family.

We know John and Pat and family from rowing at the Winnipeg Rowing Club. John and Pat were at the WRC so often cheering and supporting Karlee and Emily as they worked so hard in the sport. Very proud of all their daughters in everything they’ve accomplished. They were like extended family while we still lived in Winnipeg. We enjoyed spending time with them at the club and at their beautiful cottage. It is with heavy hearts hearing of his passing. Our love goes out to his family while we have great memories of time spent together.
