GEORGINA CHALLIS
Georgina completed her 100 year life journey. She was surrounded by love as she peacefully passed away at Meadowood Manor.
Georgina will be lovingly remembered by her son Roger (Julie), daughter Maureen Bateman (Jamie), granddaughters Taylor Panchenko (Slava), Carling Bateman and great-granddaughter Isabelle Panchenko.
Georgina was predeceased by her husband David in 1990 and son Brian in 2010. Georgina loved her family. Everything she did was for their happiness and well being. Her legacy of love, faith and perseverance will live on in all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Seine River Retirement Residence and notably Chantelle, Angela and Lisa for the wonderful support and compassion they showed Mom during her 15 years as a resident. We would also like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Meadowood Manor for the exemplary care they provided Mom in the final year of her life. You are all truly special people.
Cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Georgina’s memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society.
May the voices of angels sing thee to thy rest.
