  • I would like to offer my sincere condolences to all of the family members. My heart goes out to you all. ❤️ - Posted by: Marlene Topnik (Cousin) on: Dec 13, 2025

  • My husband Jerry and I met Alan when we moved to Faulkner approx. 30 years ago. My in-laws were friends with Alan's parents and got to know Alan through my in-laws. He was a great guy. We were also into music and because of that we got to play together. We had so much fun, met so many new people, so many other musicians, it was great. Alan was a great guitar player too. Jerry worked at the base in Gypsumville and when the base closed, we moved back to Winnipeg. In doing so, we lost touch, but we thought about him so often over the years, wondering how is Alan doing? I am so very sorry for your loss, he will always be remembered. - Posted by: Barbara Stunick (Friend) on: Dec 08, 2025

  • I met Alan in 1966 at Fairford School where we started grade one together. That was a tough year but we somehow got through it. I never saw him again until grade six in Moosehorn School. He must have learned guitar along the way because in Ashern High School I remember him playing nothing but BTO songs at lunch hour! I too was a huge BTO fan at the time and so enjoyed hearing him getting better with every passing year. Alan was a stand up guy plain and simple. Unfortunately I never saw him again after graduation. Life has a way of getting away on you. My sincere condolences to Alan’s family. I know he is in a better place. - Posted by: Rod West (School friend) on: Nov 30, 2025
