GEORGENA KIRKPATRICK

(nee CARDEY)

March 18, 1950 – December 8, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Georgie on the morning of December 8, 2025, with her daughters by her side, at the age of 75.

Georgie is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 55 years, Bob; her daughters, Debbie (Adriano) and Kelly (Kris); and her cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Jayden, Sydney, and Bailey. She is also survived by her sister Linda and her brother Tom.

Bob and Georgie met in 1968 on their first day working at Safeway and have been inseparable ever since.

Georgie loved nothing more than spending time with her family during the holidays. Bob was her rock, and her daughters and grandkids were the centre of her world.

We take comfort in knowing she is shining down on us from above, and we miss her every single day.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Zhang at Victoria Hospital Cancer Care, as well as Dr. Hu and the staff at Grace Hospital, for their exceptional care and compassion.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

  • Bob and family, I am so saddened to hear of Georgie’s passing. She was a truly sweet person, and I loved seeing her every time I was in the company of the wonderful Kirkpatrick gang . I will always remember her kindness and friendship when I was new to the Willcock family. Georgie will always be fondly remembered in my heart. She will be terribly missed by all. - Posted by: Ginny Brown (Family friend) on: Dec 13, 2025

  • I am devastated and heart broken to hear of Georgie's passing...with moving to Kelowna in 2019 I have been out of touch...however I have a lifetime of memories with Georgie and her family. She so loved her family....including her extended family which I am part of thru marriage. I remember her love of life, her laughter, her cooking and will always remember how she always said "her and Bob were not invited to Allan and my wedding" Bob, Kelly and Debbie please take care of yourself....we are all so lucky to have had Georgie in our lives. May memories bring comfort during those difficult times. LOVE LAURA - Posted by: Laura Furnival (cousin) on: Dec 13, 2025
