Guenter passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the age of 91.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Christiane Laengin, his children Jacqui Druxman (Jamie), Paul Bormann (Suzanne), Ingrid Nolan (Paul), his sister Monika Paemoller (Alfred), his eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his first wife of 49 years, Louisa Bormann in 2007.
Born in Goslar, Germany, Guenter immigrated to Canada at 18 and built a rich life through his career, volunteer work, and devotion to family.
He will be remembered for his humour, kindness, generosity, and community spirit.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bergen Garden and WHRA support staff for their compassionate care and friendship.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in early 2026.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local charity.
Guenter will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
