With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Anne Yuill on December 4, 2025, in Winnipeg, at the age of 85.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Verna and Clarence; brothers, Ken and Tom; infant son, Darren; and son James.
She is survived by her son Dean, daughter-in-law Diana; grandchildren, Eric (Gurmeet), Brandon (Haley), and Cody; great-granddaughter Sadie; and many extended family members.
Raised on a family farm near Portage la Prairie, Margaret later moved to Winnipeg, where she trained as a Registered Nurse at Misericordia General Hospital. She graduated in 1960 and devoted herself to work in hospitals and care facilities throughout southern Manitoba. Nursing was central to her identity, and she served others with compassion and dedication.
Known to many as “Margie,” she faced life’s challenges with resilience, humour, and grace. Despite significant health struggles later in life, she remained active and independent for many years. She loved travel, family gatherings, and time spent at Delta Beach, which held a special place in her heart.
The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at St. Charles Headingley United Church, 110 Bridge Road, Headingley.
