It is with sadness that we announce the death of John King on December 9, 2025 at Golden Links Lodge, Winnipeg, MB. John was born on September 20, 1945 in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB to Kenneth and Verna Rose King and spent his formative years in Ochre River and Dauphin.
John was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Myers King, in 1975; by his mother, Verna Rose King, in 1987; and by his first wife, Martha Coffman, in 2006. He was a beloved brother to Sharon Peters (Frank) and Vee (Verna) Adolf; a special uncle to his nieces and nephews, Wendy Peters, Rob Peters, Lisa Davis-Peters (Nick), Kurtis King (Caroline) and David Adolf; and to his great nieces and nephews, Alex Peters, Michael Cairns, Hayden Davis-Peters, Gabriel and Isabella King. He also leaves to mourn his loss his ex-wife Angelika (Anna) King, her son, Paul Lütjens and his brother-in-law Larry Adolf.
The family would like to extend their forever thanks to Dr. F. Ball and the caring team of nurses and support staff at the Golden Links Lodge for their compassionate care of John during his stay there and especially during his final days.
