DANIEL JAMES FENTON

It is with broken hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Fenton on December 15, 2025, at the age of 75. Dan was born in Sarnia, Ontario and was predeceased by his beloved mother, Jean Pook.

In 1971, Dan married his sweetheart Susan, beginning a loving partnership that spanned decades and became the heart of a close and lively family. Together, Dan and Sue shared a love of travel and adventure, especially their cherished trips to Deadwood and the Badlands in their classic Boler trailer.

He was a proud and devoted father to Krystie (Raffi Sr.), Jacquie (Kyle), and Jamie (Raegan), and a deeply cherished gramps to Raffi Jr., Matteo, Gabbi, and Max, who brought him endless joy.

Dan was the director and driving force behind Social Skills Incorporated, since 1972, a life's work he was immensely proud of. Through this organization, he helped countless hard core individuals restart their lives by providing job-seeking counseling, guidance, and unwavering support following incarceration. His belief in second chances and his genuine care for people changed lives and left a lasting legacy. Dan retired from the work he loved after 45 years.

A man with an open heart and an open door, Dan welcomed everyone into his world. He loved to entertain friends and family and had a deep love of music in all its forms - especially classic rock, which often set the soundtrack for his gatherings. Whether a playlist, a record spinning, or music playing late into the night, he believed every good time was better with the right song. Combined with curling with the Lincoln team, pool, darts, and cards at the Fentons, Dan always brought the entertainment.

Some of the most treasured memories were made around campfires, during trailer days at Nutimik, and cabana days at Chesley's - filled with moon tans, swamp monster tales, classic rock anthems, and Dan's legendary storytelling. His warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit made every gathering brighter.

Daniel will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and gramps, loyal friend, and a man who helped others see possibility where they once saw none. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, music, and lives forever changed by his compassion. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
