POLLYANNA TESSIE LEFTERUK

It is with deep sadness and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Pollyanna Tessie (nee Bobula) Lefteruk on January 22, 2026, at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Pollyanna was the beloved daughter of Katherine (nee Maczuga) and Paul Bobula. Pollyanna was born June 21, 1935, at Vassar, Manitoba.
On August 2, 1958, Pollyanna married Boris Lefteruk, beginning a partnership filled with adventure, mutual support, and deep affection. Together, they raised four children: Davolyn Liusz (Ted), Rhonda Dmytriw (Gord), Allison (who passed away in infancy), and Leslee Lefteruk (Randy Harris). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pollyanna was known for her generosity, strong Roman Catholic faith, and lifelong commitment to education and community. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and daughter Allison.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Mary Mother of the Church. Private internment of ashes will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her honour.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I was Mrs. Lefteruks’ hairstylist for several years in the late 80’s- 90’s. I always looked forward to her coming to the salon, we had many wonderful talks, she was a very lovely person. Her husband also was one of my favourite teachers. I’m sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Kelly Werner (Student and hairdresser) on: Feb 19, 2026

  • The Lefteruks were our neighbours for many years in Saint Norbert. I have such fond memories growing up next to the Lefteruk family with all their children, and saw them regularly all the time. Mr. and Mrs. Lefteruk were very helpful and kind over the years. Our deepest condolences to the entire Lefteruk family. Lawrence Sierhuis - Posted by: Lawrence Sierhuis (Neighbor) on: Feb 16, 2026
