ROSE JEAN FIRLOTTE
Rose Jean Firlotte, aged 88, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026. Born on May 15, 1937, in Kenora, Ontario, Rose was the beloved daughter of Sophie and Tony Tacknyk.
Rose was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Cliff Firlotte; her parents; her sister Mary; and nephew Kevin. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Nicole; son-in-law Cain; and treasured grandson Eli, who brought her immense joy. Auntie Rose is also fondly remembered by nieces, Cheryl and Bunny; and nephews, Mike and Kenny.
A devoted mother and cherished aunt, Rose was known for her warmth, generosity, and steadfast love for her family. She was an exceptional cook – famous for her apple pie – and a gifted seamstress and handcrafter whose work reflected her patience and creativity.
Rose’s presence, kindness, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
