SHANE DAVID DYCK

February 6, 1998 - January 26, 2026

Tragically, on Monday, January 26, 2026, Shane David Dyck of Falcon Lake, left this world (realm) at the age of 27.

Shane is survived by his loving parents, Kristin Popoff and Kevin Dyck; his brother Riley Dyck; his Nan, Roberta Popoff; his aunts and uncles, Darla Hooker (Rob Hester), David Popoff, Garry Dyck (Carol), Darryl Dyck (Corey), Nadine Mitchell (Barry), and Stuart Dyck (Colleen), and his many, many cousins.

He is predeceased by his Pa, Jacob Popoff, and his Grandma and Grandpa, Laura and Ike Dyck.

Shane had many interests. He had a deep love of music and poetry, and wrote many rap songs. Shane was very spiritual - he had an incredible knowledge of all the religions of the world, past and present. Shane loved nature and the outdoors, and taking walks through the woods. He also enjoyed skiing, skating, playing hockey, biking, running, swimming, and working out, and loved his summers spent at the family cottage at Victoria Beach. Shane had a clever wit about him and an amazing sense of humour, and loved making people laugh. Shane had compassion for his fellow human - he loved his family and friends. Shane faced many struggles in his life and he is now at peace.

There will be no service at this time. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.

If friends so desire, donations in Shane’s memory may be made to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.

We would like to say a special thanks to: Sylvia and Jeff Friesen for their love, support, prayers, and guidance to us, as well as to Shane. Kris Bachmeier from Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach and to all of our family and friends for their patience, love, and support.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. - Matthew 11:28
