Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • “Margie” was my best friend when in the early 1950’s, my family moved to 720 Martin Ave, just a few doors down the street from the Charmans. Margie & I were both 5 years old. I have such fond memories of those days, especially of Margie’s Dad who was a wonderful man! He adored Margie who he called “Baby”. I still remember the smell in their kitchen on Saturday mornings when Margie’s Dad would stand at the stove, in his undershirt and slacks, while frying eggs in bacon grease. We only lived on Martin for a couple of years. Margie & I stayed in touch until we were about 20 and, life happened. We moved further apart, raised families and lost touch. I have thought of Margie often and it warms my heart to learn, not surprisingly that she raised a beautiful family in a loving home. What a beautiful legacy! My sincere condolences to all of the Charman and Myhre families. - Posted by: Beth Ritcher (Gislason) (long time friend) on: Mar 04, 2026

  • My sincere condolences to Larry and his family. I had the privilege of knowing her at Canada Post. We used to ride the bus after work on the evening shift when she lived in Elmwood. Super nice lady and was always a joy to talk to. RIP Marge. You will be missed. 🙏 - Posted by: Mark Fzioba (Co-worker) on: Mar 01, 2026

  • I am so sad to hear of Margie’s passing. I remember her and Larry’s kind, happy and generous spirit. She embraced me when I moved to Winnipeg for university and made me feel part of her family and I will never forget that. I’m sure she was an amazing grandmother as she was such a joyful and loving person. Hope to see you again one day. Maria Franklin - Posted by: Maria Fodden (Friend of the family) on: Feb 28, 2026

  • My favorite memory was when we went to big whiteshell and there was a chipmunk that always came to us, and stood right on top of Tyler's football 😂 and then going to the restaurant afterwards before the sunset. We also went thru the trail to a small water fall near by. That's where we got some of the best pictures! And the one time we were at Grand Beach and walking back from the store and I heard the campsite next to us banging pots and pans so I sprinted back to our campsite and we always made a joke up about that 😂 I'll miss seeing your beautiful smile and the messages where papa would say "we're gonna go out to your campsite for the day". Those were the best days! Miss you Nany❤️‍🩹 Love : Emily 🩵 - Posted by: Emily (Granddaughter) on: Feb 28, 2026
