On March 2, 2026, Lucila del Carmen Carrasco passed away at the age of 82 years. She was born in Concepción, Chile, a place she always carried in her heart. During a time of political unrest, Lucila and her husband moved to Canada in 1975, where they built a life centered on family, perseverance, and hope.
Lucila shared 63 loving years of marriage with her devoted husband, Teruel Arturo Carrasco. Predeceased by her beloved daughter, Dora Veronica, she is lovingly remembered by her children; Ana Maria Lidice, Teruel Andrei, and Andrea Patricia Augusta; and her 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She cherished time with family and friends, and her warm spirit and welcoming heart touched all who knew her.
Lucila’s kindness and devotion to her family will be remembered always. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 14, 2026; with viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Funeral Service to commence at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1203 – 109 Street NW, Edmonton.
