Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMORLEY LUHOWY
Morley was born on May 22, 1935, in the RM of Birtle to Nick and Dora Luhowy. He was the third of six boys.
In 1955, he moved to Winnipeg, where he worked various jobs, but spent the majority of his career as a custodian with the St. James School Division.
On October 17, 1959, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Woychyshyn. Together they built a life filled with love and raised four children: Lorrie (Jerry) Luba, Lynda (Mervin) Bilinsky, Michael (Lori) Luhowy, and Tammy (Jim) Anton. They were later blessed with 13 grandchildren and six great-granddaughters.
Morley enjoyed camping, travelling, gardening, and upholstery. He was known as everyone’s go-to handyman who could fix anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honour his memory by spending time with family and friends, tending a garden, or extending kindness to someone in need.
A funeral service was on March 20, 2026, at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Dear Lynda and Family. My dearest condolences on the loss of your father. The loss of a parent is not easy but it is our faith with God that gives us the strength to continue our lives knowing that one day we will reunite with our loved ones, Take care Chris Winchar - Posted by: Chris Winchar (co-worker and friend) on: Mar 21, 2026
