It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Enid Ross (MacGregor) announces her passing on March 11 after a courageous fight with Alzheimer’s.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Tracy Letain (Michel Letain) and Lori Ross, her grandchildren Brandon and Amanda Wiebe, her great grandson Carson Chavez, and many friends and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Bailey Ross and her parents Christine and William MacGregor.
Barbara was born October 3, 1941, in Winnipeg. In 1961 she married Bailey, and together they raised their family in East Kildonan. Barbara worked as an administrative assistant and loved to travel. After retirement, she and Bailey moved to Paradise Village. Following his passing in 2003, Barbara later spent her final years at Golden Door Geriatric Centre with her daughter Lori.
The family thanks the staff at Golden Door for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Norberry Community Center, 26 Molgat Ave., Wpg.
