There are few people who enjoy life as much as Natalie. She was the epitome of light, love and laughter. I knew her from her days at the U of M. She helped us organize the annual Isbister Legacy Society Luncheon. She was always so positive, organized and helpful. I don't know how she juggled so many events and functions at the U of M, but she did it with ease and grace. I have a memory of touring a Norwegian display of some kind that Natalie was involved in. She was so proud of her heritage. I followed on Facebook as her husband David went through his health issues, and am sad to hear that cancer has robbed us of another treasured person. I will miss her posts and its just so sad to think that Natalie will not be with us on this Earth anymore. My sympathies to all her family and friends. - Posted by: Beth Proven (Former colleague) on: Apr 01, 2026

I used to park at your Mom and Dad’s house when I worked at the University. I sort of knew your Mom from the U of M but not really. I saw a sign on their property offering a parking spot. I went to the door and your Mom lived there. I got to know your wonderful parents then. We would talk often when I went to get my car and had a lot of laughs in your driveway. Your Mom was such a busy lady and was so talented in so many ways. I am so happy I got to know them because they were such beautiful people. I didn’t know you but I know from their talk how proud they were of you. Many condolences 🙏 - Posted by: Heather Wade (Parking attendee) on: Mar 31, 2026

I'm so sorry and heart broken to hear of the passing of my dear childhood friend,Natalie. Thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences to her family, especially her son,Kyle. There was only one Natalie-an incredibly intelligent, kind and thoughtful woman who was the "queen" of King's Park. She was born an only child and had a wonderful way of keeping in touch with friends and acquaintances over the years,co-ordinating activities and keeping our early life experiences alive. Her wit,her practical down to earth and non judgemental approach to others made her a treasure in our lives. I feel such gratitude to have had Natalie in my life. She was a gift and an inspiration. The fun,the adventures, and the many memories we shared will always be precious. She is so lovingly missed.Genevie (Rybak) Henderson - Posted by: Genevie Henderson (Friend (since Childhood)) on: Mar 29, 2026

Hi Kyle and Melissa, please accept my deepest condolences on the sudden passing of your Mom. Sandra and I were in Mexico in February when your Mom texted Sandra and told her of her cancer diagnosis. We were both in shock and cannot believe that could happen to such a nice person as you Mom. Sandra visited you Mom several times but I could not go since I had appointments. We did manage to visit your Mom on March 14 and she was talking. We visited her on March 21 but she could not speak but could nod her head as we spoke to her. I was hoping to see her today, but that could not happen. I met your Mom and Dad at the Consular Corp functions and I enjoyed seeing her there as well as the many breakfasts at her place, our place, Pancake House and Smitty's. Whenever I think of your Mom, it is so sad. However, I feel a little better when I think of the photo that you sent Sandra with your Mom and Dad and that they are together again. Sandra has cataract surgery on the same day as your Mom's Celebration of Life. I have to take Sandra to the hospital and pick her up and we are saddened that we will not be at the function. We will be thinking of both of you. Your Mom was a very nice friend and I will miss her dearly. Take care. Robin - Posted by: Robin Sukhan (Friend) on: Mar 28, 2026
