Peacefully on March 28, 2026, Naomi passed away at Meadowood Manor in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 97 years. Naomi was born on June 12, 1928, in Lequille, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia.
The family would like to thank the staff on the fifth floor of Riverside Lions and the staff on the second floor at Meadowood Manor for the excellent care that was given to our mother. It was greatly appreciated. They treated her like family.
Naomi kept a spotless home, always cleaning. She was a great cook. Naomi was married to her wonderful husband Edwin for 58 years before he passed away in December of 2003.
Naomi leaves behind two daughters in Montreal, Sharon and Patsy; one daughter in Winnipeg, Nancy; and two sons in Winnipeg, Edwin Jr. and David. Also, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Winnipeg, Montreal, and Nova Scotia.
Our mother lived a long and fulfilling life. She will be greatly missed.
You fought your last battle, now it’s time to go home and rest with your husband Edwin. He’s waiting for you. No more suffering, no more pain.
The service will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Viewing will be on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., also at Glen Lawn.
