Glenn and I were saddened to hear of Carl's passing and send our condolences to his family. I am the eldest daughter of Bernie and Maude Dyck and carry fond memories of Loon Straits as a child where Carl would come fetch us in his big boat at Calder's dock and bring us over for a visit with Aunty Verna and Uncle Merv. We came to know the entire family over our lifetime and many trips to Loon Straits over the years. Blessings and love to everyone. Dear Ann, and the family of Carl, I’m so sorry to hear of Carl’s passing. When I was 10 years old (1961), my father, Jake Wiebe, was the high school teacher in Loon Straits. Our family lived in a beautiful new space, a teacherage which was part of the new high school, built by Carl. I remember him as a very big friendly, handsome giant. I hope you can find some comfort in your memories of Carl. Margaret Grylls (nee Wiebe) - Posted by: Margaret Grylls (nee Wiebe) (Friend) on: Apr 13, 2026
