A peaceful ending for Johnny in the warmth and safety at St. Joseph’s care home.
Never one to conform, Uncle Johnny truly went through this lifetime to the beat of his own drum. A unique character, with a kind soul. Forever remembered in the hearts of his niece, Dona, nephews Clay and Dave and many cousins.

Jon Gillis, was a staple in our neighborhood growing up, he was more my older brother Vern’s age but that did not matter, Jon treated everyone the same with grace and kindness. His Father owned Gilles Store on the corner of Greenwood where we grew up. This Family’s kindness and generosity was inspirational. The store was the “hub” of the neighborhood and when Jon took over more of the running of it, that did not change. A caring and kind man, who would do more for others than he would ever ask in return. Rest in peace Jonny… Thank you for always treating my Parents and Family like your very own.
