Ray grew up in Roland, and raised his family in Swan Lake, MB where he worked as an elevator manager at United Grain Growers for 37 years. He had a small farm just outside Swan Lake where he raised beef cattle that were his life, he loved the farm. He raised many ducks as well as geese, they were all pets!
They had many family gatherings at the farm in the summer, with barbeques and wiener roasts. Ray loved fishing at Wekusko Falls in Snow Lake every summer with family and friends, especially Ray Lesprance and his family - many stories were told around the fire in the evenings. Ray was a drummer in a band, they never missed an old-time dance, whether he was playing or dancing. Ray also enjoyed hunting, curling, and playing cards in his spare time.
The family would like to thank everyone at Foyer Notre Dame who helped care for Ray.
Ray’s family will celebrate his life privately.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of Ray may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
