KIMBERLY JOANNE MORRISSEAU

March 21, 1962 - April 14, 2026

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Kimberly (Kim) Joanne Morrisseau. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, at the age of 64 years.

Kim was predeceased by her daughter Merrily Morrisseau-Starr, parents, Lawrence and Lillian Morrisseau, her siblings, Valerie, Larry, Theresa, Donna, Lesley, infant brothers Adrian, Peter, and Paul, nieces Tracey and Crystal, nephew Michael, and great-nephew Phoenix.

Left to cherish Kim’s memory are her children, Jarrid (Randy), Nolan (Nicole), Brandi (Dwayne), Joshua, Isaiah (Vanessa), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Siblings Deborah, Marvin, and Claude Morrisseau, and numerous family members and friends.

Kim grew up spending time in Sagkeeng and in Winnipeg. In her younger years, she enjoyed the city life in her parent’s home on Victor Street. She always took part in playing board games with family during the holidays and had an infectious laugh when listening to some of the more interesting answers.

Kim was beloved by her family, and always valued spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an honest and loyal friend who was a caregiver to her parents in their later years. She was a generous person and shared whatever she had.

Kim especially liked spending time expressing herself creatively through colouring. She also liked listening to rock music and occasionally playing the slots. She lived life on her own terms and was a carefree soul.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at George M Guimond Care Centre Inc. and the many individuals who provided support to Kim during her final years.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be a two-night wake beginning on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Sagkeeng First Nation.

A final viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church presided over by Father Paul. Feast to follow at the RC Church Hall. Cremation to follow and interment at a later date.

Condolences may be sent to the family c/o Spirit Road Funeral Services Inc.,PO Box 200, Fort Alexander, Manitoba, R0E 0P0, 204-340-6490 or friends may leave a message of sympathy at spiritroadfunerals@gmail.com.
