ROBERTA (ROBBIE) LAROCHELLE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Roberta Carma “Robbie” Larochelle (née Wakefield), who passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on October 5, 1935, in Nestow, Alberta, Robbie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She leaves behind her loving children, Marc, Larry, Michelle, and Jeannette, as well as her cherished grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Robbie shared 70 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gaston “Larry” Larochelle. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, road trips, camping adventures, and their cherished “Caesar nights at the Larochelles.”

Robbie will be remembered for her love of gardening, country music, and spending time with friends at the A.N.A.F., where she loved gathering for drinks, good company, and trying her luck at the meat draws.

Known for the little stuffed animals she kept on her car dashboard, Larry would always joke that she was driving around with her own little zoo, one of the many ways their love was filled with laughter and teasing.

It brings us comfort to imagine Robbie reunited with Larry, who was no doubt waiting for her with open arms, a Caesar ready, and teasing her about what took her so long to join him.

Robbie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
