Joan passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 94, with family at her side.
Joan and her husband of 70 years, Ernie, raised three children: Allan (Beverly), Karen (Doug), and Kelly (Ed).
Their family grew to include seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Kay and Kelly, her sister Marg, her son Al, and her granddaughter Laura.
Joan was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and she spent most of her adult life in Winnipeg, where she worked as a nurse for many years. She built a life centered on family, friendship, and community, and her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the friends, family, and care staff all who were such an important part of her life.
At Joan’s request, no funeral service is planned.
