Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVEN CWIAK
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother/uncle, Steven Cwiak, in Edmonton. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his faithful dog by his side. He leaves to mourn his sister Waltra (husband Terry), nephew Carl (wife Caitlin), niece Julie (daughter Nadija), brother Gary (wife Judy), brother Ron (wife Linda, deceased) and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Anne and Walter, and sister-in-law Linda. Steve grew up in Winnipeg in East Kildonan and later settled in Edmonton. He was employed by Haver & Boecker Canada, for the last 13 years as a Certified Sales Manager, a job he loved. He enjoyed the travel and made numerous connections through the Edmonton office and around the world. Steve also had a passion for writing music and was known as Stephen Ryder. He wrote 45 songs and two videos and his music is featured on Spotify. Steve was a lover of dogs and was predeceased by his service dog, Dahlia, and previous to that, Tina. His current dog, Maggie, was with him when he passed. A special thank you to the Edmonton Police Service for all their help. A mass celebrating his life will be held at St Alphonsus Church, 341 Munroe Avenue on Thursday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Steven was a valuable part of our Haver & Boecker Canada team for many years. It was always a pleasure to talk to Steven over the years, and the conversation usually ended with some great stories about his dogs! Maggie was the current love of his life and brought him great joy. We are blessed to have spent time with Steven most recently at our January sales meeting in Mexico. We are saddened to have lost a colleague and friend. Sincere condolences to Stevens family. - Posted by: Karen Thompson (Colleague) on: Jun 01, 2026

It was a pleasure to get to know Steven. Had many phones calls with him about work and getting to know him. He had many stories and some laughs with him as well. He will be missed. - Posted by: Duncan (Work colleague at Haver) on: May 29, 2026
