It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Shirley Anne Greggor on June 2, 2026 at Arborg, MB. She was 88 years old.
Shirley was born on October 16, 1937 at Virden Hospital and was the youngest child of Bella and Arthur Morris. She had two older brothers, Jack Morris (predeceased) and Bill Morris (predeceased). Shirley's childhood was spent on the family farm near Reston, MB. Shirley met Alvin Greggor while working in Reston, fell in love and married in 1955. They farmed in the Woodnorth area and were blessed with five children. Alvin and Shirley then moved to Brandon in 1967 and again was blessed with another child. They moved to British Columbia in 1981 and spent the next 40 years in the Salmon Arm area.
Shirley worked numerous jobs throughout her life and the two that stand out are Mckenzie Seeds in Brandon and the Florist jobs in Salmon Arm. Her greatest love was her family and having them over for family dinners. Everyone will miss her cinnamon buns, perogies and pies. Shirley also spent many hours gardening and her yard was her pride and joy.
Shirley moved back to Manitoba in 2022 to be closer to her daughter Shari, son-in-law Bruce and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family and this move was perfect for her.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Alvin, her daughter Kimberley and sons, Darcy and Dean.
She is survived by Darla Wilkinson (Rick), Shari Ball (Bruce), Bradley Greggor, along with numerous grandchildren (Troy, Trevor, Dustin, Jarod, Tysen, Brodie, Ashlee, Malcolm, Madyson, Jaicee and Jaiden; and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Aiden), sister-in-law Rita Greggor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Many thanks go to to the staff at Arborg Personal Care Home where Mom received wonderful care and she felt right at home.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date, as per Mom's wishes.
