FLORENCE MARION TELLIER

Florence Marion Tellier (nee Buckingham) passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 87 years in Brandon, Manitoba.

Flo was born in The Pas, Manitoba on September 10, 1938, and enjoyed the first half of her life living in the north. She was a member of many community groups, and an active piano teacher and accompanist. She worked as an RN alongside her mother at St. Anthony’s Hospital, before marrying Ed in 1962, soon welcoming three children.

In 1978, Flo moved to Brandon where she began a long career working for the Government of Manitoba in a variety of departments, including Audiology and Child and Family Services. She was well-respected for her commitment to her work, her development of new programs, and her dedicated advocacy for many families over the years.

Flo retired in 2003, which allowed her to spend more time enjoying her passion, dog training and instruction at the Crocus Obedience and Kennel Club. She served in many positions at the club, travelled to countless trials, and taught classes well into her 80’s. She also loved to bring her dogs for visitation at senior’s residences, and was recognized for her many years of volunteer work at the Westman Hospice.

Flo enjoyed attending community theatre events, as well as cheering for her favourite sports teams, the Blue Bombers, Blue Jays, Leafs and Jets.

Mom lived an active life, independently and on her own terms, right until the end.

She is survived and missed by her children Jay (Sandy), Suzanne (Bruce), and Paul (Jen), grandchildren Cynthia, Amanda, Sabrina, Evan and Lauren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service in Flo’s honour will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Brockie Donovan Funeral Chapel, 332-8th St, Brandon, Manitoba.

Following the service, all are invited to join the family for a reception and light lunch.
