DELMAR LOUCKS
Mr. Delmar Loucks of Melita passed away peacefully at the Deloraine Health Centre on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the age of 90.
Delmar will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Jean and their five children, grand and great-grandchildren: Judy (Richard – Cathy & Eddie, Ryan; Andrew & Sydney, Olivia, Beckett, Eleanora); Rod (Diane – Randy & Kaitlyn; Reed & Valerie, Hazel, Maverick); Kevin (Jacquie – Mike & Meagan, Logan, Will; Maddi & Lance, Sutton; Mackenzie & Radney, Wesley); Alana (Dan – Matt; Chris & Allie; Jesse & Kelsey, Cheyenne, Sawyer); Lynda (Jason – Jalen & Ella, Brooks; Landen); brothers: Eldon (Lorraine) and Harvey; in-laws: Bob, George, Ruby, Diane Tilbury, Joyce (Clarke) Traill, Patsie (Cal) Campbell, Sherry Line, Don (Lorena) Gerlock, and much loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to name.
A public funeral service for Delmar will be held at the Melita Curling Club, Melita, MB, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. A time of fellowship will follow. All are welcome to attend. Please use the main entrance at Enns Brothers Place and proceed down the ramp to the curling rink.
A private family graveside service at the Melita Cemetery will precede the public funeral service at the curling club.
Community meant everything to Delmar. In that spirit, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to a Melita based charity of one's choice. This would be appreciated by his family.
