It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlotte Isabel Honey Kissock (née Flynn) on June 5, 2026.
Charlotte was born in Arcola, Saskatchewan, on July 25, 1936, to Peter and Elizabeth Flynn. She was raised on the family farm south of Carlyle, where her days were spent riding horses, helping with farmwork, and attending school at Carlton Junction.
Longing for more adventure, Charlotte enlisted in the army, working as a nursing assistant in the Medical Corps. While stationed at CFB Shilo, she met Bob Kissock. After one last posting, to Churchill, the couple married in 1962. Their two children, Heather and Peter, soon followed, and Charlotte devoted herself to helping them explore their interests and develop their talents. In her spare time, she volunteered at the school library and became a member of the local art club.
The family moved from Shilo to Brandon in 1982, and Charlotte began working at Eaton’s while also taking art classes at Brandon University. Upon her retirement, Charlotte sought adventure in the form of travel. Her wanderlust took her to the three coasts of Canada and much of the land in between. She also visited many US states, including Hawaii and Alaska, and took multiple trips to the British Isles.
Predeceased by her parents, an infant brother, and her husband, Charlotte is survived by her two children.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
