JOANNE PELLETIER

With profound sadness and hearts full of love, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Joanne Pelletier, on July 22, 2026, at Foothills Country Hospice.

Joanne was born on July 26, 1960, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1981, she married John Pelletier, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together they raised two wonderful sons and created a family that became Joanne’s greatest pride and joy.

To know Joanne was to know kindness. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and valued. Selfless, compassionate, and endlessly generous, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand or brighten someone’s day with her warm smile and caring heart. Her love touched countless lives, and her gentle spirit will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joanne found peace and happiness along the ocean’s shores, where she loved searching for beautiful rocks and pieces of beach glass. She had a special love for flowers - especially poppies - and found joy in the simple beauty of nature. She wished to be remembered as a hummingbird, a symbol of light, hope, resilience, and joy, reflecting the happiness she brought wherever she went.

Above all else, Joanne’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted mother whose love, guidance, and unwavering support shaped the lives of her sons, and a proud grandmother whose eyes lit up whenever she spent time with her grandchildren.

Joanne was predeceased by her loving parents, David and Antonia Pelland; her sister, Monique Neuls; and her nephew, Robb Pelland.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, John Pelletier; her sons, Robin and David; her treasured grandchildren, Kyen, Beau, Kahlia, and Dru; her beloved brother, Gilles; her beloved sisters, Pauline and Suzanne; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Joanne’s love will remain with us always. Her memory will live on in every act of kindness, every blooming poppy, every hummingbird, and every walk along the shoreline. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joanne’s memory to Foothills Country Hospice.
