DANIEL FEROZEDIN
Daniel Ferozedin of Brandon, Manitoba passed away peacefully July 15, 2026, at Brandon Palliative Care Unit.
Dan was born in Pasrur, Pakistan, July 5, 1947. He came to Canada in 1972 by sponsorship from his older brother Yousaf Ferozedin. He quickly settled into life in Regina, Saskatchewan. He actively pursued a career and was hired by Combined Insurance Company of America. He excelled within the company and was well known for all of his achievements and success as a businessman. Dan transferred to Brandon in 1989 as he continued management with Combined Insurance. After 25 years of being with the company, some heart issues slowed him down and he chose to retire at the age of 55. Dan had a love of many things - Roughrider football, basketball, hockey, and of course Golf.
As he loved to travel, it was limited to months where he was not able to golf, or golf had to be squeezed into the trip.
One of our favourite winter trips occurred after 8 years of living together. We spent two weeks in the Riviera Maya and got married on January 23, 2002. Our life simply became better with marriage. We met many people that became lifelong friends through travels. Everybody loved Dan. A little joke or a smart remark would open a conversation that would end up lasting for an hour. Dan was adored by his grandchildren, by his family, as well as Kathy’s family.
He loved the family functions, weddings, and gatherings where he could dance, laugh, and enjoy some cocktails. Dan loved to host at our home - his thought was always the more the merrier. Usually caesars made by Doug & Dan got things started.
He made every person that crossed his path feel special.
He is survived by his forever loving wife, Kathy. Sons: Jayson (Liz), Tim & Anthony. Stepsons: Scott (Julie), Michael (Ashleigh).
Grandchildren: Treyton & Kruz, Jackson, Lincoln & Avery, & Zye & Alyscia, Bentley & Ashton, and Lennon & Beckham.
Sister Surriya and family. Brother Ilyas and family. Sister-in-law Carol and family and Deborah (John) and family. Many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceased were his parents; brothers James, Caleb, Younis & Yousaf; and son, Joshua Ferozedin. Sister-in-law’s Alice, Asghari & Maria; and brother-in-law’s Steven, Gabriel and Doug Mathison.
A Celebration of Daniel's life will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Victoria Inn - Imperial Ballroom - 3550 Victoria Ave, Brandon MB. Please dress casual, or wear your favorite football jersey.
