MARI-ANN WEEKS
We are saddened to announce the passing of Mari-Ann Weeks at Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on July 29, 2026.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Dr. John Weeks, in 2006. She was also predeceased by her daughter Annika, in 2022.
She is survived by four loving children and their spouses: Kristin (Bill), Andy (Ila), Bess (Brad), and Bjorn (Francisca); along with seven grandchildren (Vivian, Peter, Nichole, Caleb, Carl, Diane, and Leigh); and five great-grandchildren (Christen, Avaira, Arlo, Walter, and Alyvia).
At Mari-Ann’s request, there will be no formal funeral. A family gathering is anticipated at a later date.
The family extends special thanks to the nursing staff at Victoria General Hospital for their care of Mari-Ann during her final weeks.
