Marian May Carr passed away on July 25, 2026. She was born in the Miniota, Manitoba hospital to Margaret (Sawyer) and Frederick Green. Marian grew up in Beulah Manitoba on the family farm with her loving family.
Her career with the Manitoba Telephone System from 1948 to 1959 took her to Hamiota, Brandon, and Winnipeg.
Marian and George Carr married in 1956 In Brandon. They were blessed with a daughter Georgia and a son Patrick who made their lives complete.
Marian had a passion for travel. She and George toured the United Kingdom and Europe and travelled extensively in Canada and the United States. But, most of all, she cherished her home and family, always treasuring their time together.
Marian is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Georgia Clark; her son Patrick Carr and daughter-in-law Sandi; and her grandchildren, Laura Clark, Elizabeth Carr (Max Gallant) and Jackson Carr (Jaiden Hayward); her brother Ken Green; brother-in-law Bill Carr (Judy) and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was predeceased by her husband George; grandson John; sisters, Hazel and Elizabeth; brother Don; and dear friend Jake Hildebrand.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cram and all of the kind and helpful staff at Souris Personal Care Home.
A private graveside service was held at the Brandon Cemetery.
