Dawn Jennifer Williams passed away peacefully at the Tri-Lake Health Centre in Killarney, MB on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the age of 80 years.
Dawn was born on January 24, 1946, the second child of six children born to Kenneth and Marie McLoughlin and was a loving sister to Larry, Trevor, Stewart, Karen and Rydel. Her first love was Karl Williams with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Dawn and Karl came from Cape Town, South Africa to Brandon, Manitoba in 1971. They lived a wonderful life with family and friends in Brandon and at their cottage on Miami Beach at Pelican Lake for 46 summers and in Barbados for 50 winters.
Dawn was an administrator for many doctors in Brandon and retired from Westman Lab in 2011. Dawn was a cancer survivor and was a proud member of the Dragon Boat team. Music was an important part of Dawn’s life and she enjoyed dancing and knew the words to all the old tunes.
Dawn was predeceased by her parents, brother Larry, sister-in-law Jenny, nieces, Colleen and Jean, brother-in-law Phillip, brother-in-law Carl, sister-in-law Susan, uncle Neil, nephew Neil Patrick and niece Suella.
Dawn will be lovingly remembered by her husband Karl. Also by siblings, Trevor (Faye) McLoughlin, Karen (Roger) Barry, Stewart (Eleanor) McLoughlin, Rydel (Dorothy) McLoughlin; sister-in-law Avis Williams; aunt Del and all of Dawn’s family members.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and aides at Killarney Acute Hospital for their care and compassion for Dawn in her last days.
The family will honour Dawn at a private Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

My Condolences Carl. I enjoyed the years working with Dawn, sharing many stories and plenty of laughs. She was a survivor. I know that she will be missed. - Posted by: Bev Drummond (Co-worker) on: Oct 10, 2026
