DORIS EVELYN BOYD After a lengthy illness on Tuesday, September 21, 1999 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Doris Boyd aged 85 years of Winnipeg and formerly of Teulon. Born November 22, 1913 in Winnipeg she married Garnet Boyd September 29, 1934 and lived in Teulon for 50 years before retiring to Winnipeg. Doris was predeceased by her husband Garnet in October, 1986 and by a son Glen in 1989. She will always be remembered for her strength, generosity, kind and loving ways. Surviving to mourn her loss; sons, Keith of Winnipeg and Norman of Nanaimo; grandchildren, Donna, Debbie, Darlene, Denis, Glen-Allan, Maureen and Kim; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one brother Garnet Drennar; one sister Lorna Hanson; numerous nieces, nephews and many, many, friends in Teulon and at 22 Strauss Drive. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Rev. Bruce Logan will officiate. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 3M7. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while - Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky!
