DAVID STEWART JOHNSTON Beloved husband of Joan passed away Friday, September 17, 1999 in Victoria. Stewart was born in Winnipeg, grew up in St. Vital, served in the Canadian Navy on both coasts and retired in Victoria. He will be deeply missed by his children, Geoff, Anthony and Janine; mother Barbara Ann Johnston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Eloise, Brian and Charlotte, and Bruce and Laura, and sister and brother-in-law Barbara Ann and Michael Balshaw; plus his many nephews and nieces and by all whose lives he touched. His friendliness, quick wit, and generosity will be fondly missed by all who knew him. Memorial services were held in St. Marys Anglican Church, Saanichton and in the home of his mother in Winnipeg on Thursday, September 23. Donations, if desired, may be made to a favourite charity.
