Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS BOHAY December 17, 1917- October 29, 1999 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Irene; his four daughters and 11 grandchildren, Susan (Dave), Andrew, Steven, Heather and Melissa; Wendy (Rick), Kevin and Mark; Donna (Ken), Richelle, Vanessa and Madison; Joy (Rod), Matthew and Daniel. Nick is survived by one brother and three sisters, Paul, Nellie, Sophie, Teenie and numerous nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Stanley and Michael, and a sister Anne predeceased him. Nick served in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve from 1942 - 1945. He attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer 3rd class. Nick worked in construction all his life. He was employed at Dominion Bridge and then Manitoba Hydro until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 141. Dad found great joy in spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Dad will be remembered for his independent nature, strength of character and the value he placed on his family and friends. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 2 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Nicholass memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Wpg. MN. R3C 9Z9.
