Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MAY BODNER (nee HOUSTON) Peacefully, on November 13, 1999, Kathleen Bodner passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78. Kathy was born in Winnipeg on February 20, 1921 and was predeceased by her husband Wally in 1984. The youngest of five children, she is survived by her loving family, daughters, Bonnie, Diane Wizniak (Bill), son Tom; grandchildren, Bill Wizniak (Patricia), Marni Grabowski (Blaine) great-grandchildren, Kevin, Connor, Lisa and Laura, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Kathy worked for many years alongside her husband Wally (Bodner Refrigeration Ltd.) and later in life started a new and very rewarding career as a home care worker for Child and Family Services. She cared very deeply for all children and was especially pleased to be able to enjoy her close relationship with her wee great-grandchildren. In her early years Kathy won many medals as a Highland dancer and had more recently turned her talented feet to line-dancing with her fellow seniors. Many thanks to all the doctors at St. Boniface Hospital who cared for her and the compassionate staff on 6A West for all their kindness. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held. If friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of their choice.
