KATHLEENE A. SMITH (SNIDER) nee COLEMAN Peacefully at Middlechurch Home, February 11, 2000. Kay was born October 22, 1915 in Winnipeg and lived here all her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Violet Coleman; her sisters, Ethel Parrish and Rita Boyle; her first husband Ion and second husband Bill. Always a caregiver, Kay tended her family and friends with a kind and generous heart. Her sensitivity and sense of humour was expressed in her joy of life. She will be remembered fondly with a book in her hand and a smile on her face by her daughter Lorraine and son-in-law Bill Helgason; grandchildren, Kirsten and Kathleen; great-grandchildren, Marlon and Morgan; her niece Penny; and nephews, Ernie and Ion; and their families. Kays family would like to thank the staff of the Middlechurch Home for their kindness to and care of our Nanna. According to Kays wishes, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Winnipeg or to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg.
