WILLIAM CHARLES BOND Peacefully, on February 24, 2000 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, Willie, beloved husband of Doris, passed away at the age of 78 years. Willie was born on March 9, 1921 in Teulon. He was raised on the family farm that was homesteaded by his grandfather in 1874. Willie continued the family tradition by farming the homestead until his retirement. He was predeceased by his brother Allan, his sisters, Ivy Campbell and Lillian. He is survived by his wife Doris; and his four sons, Harold and his wife Cathy and their sons, Kevin, Glenn and Brent, Bert and his wife Shirley and their daughters, Crystal and Ginger, Ward and his daughter Alex and Wards special friend Irene, Hugh and his wife Marie and their daughter Jodi. He is also survived by his brother Grant (Ester). Willie was a devoted husband of 55 years. He was generous and supportive of his family at all times. Willie had a great passion for music. He was a gifted musician having learned to play a variety of musical instruments. Together with some of his friends they formed the band "Willie and the boys". He enjoyed playing at hospitals, nursing homes and various functions throughout the Interlake. The family wishes to thank Dr. McTaggart and all of the staff at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, for the exceptional care they extended to Dad. The funeral service will take place on Monday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Rev. Ken Anstie will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of the arrangements.
