Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETIENNE JOSEPH PIERRE BOYER At the Stonewall Hospital in Stonewall, Man. on March 15, 2000, after a lengthy illness and surrounded by his loving family, Etienne Boyer passed away. Etienne was predeceased by his two children, Etienne Jr. and Patricia Johnston; grandson Michael Boyer and great-granddaughter Vanessa Allard. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Stella (nee Chartrand) and by his children, Shirley (Edgar) Bruce, Sylvia Boyer (friend Richard Richot), Darlene (Edward) Woytowich, Marcel Boyer, Denise (Donat) Coutu, Jean (Cathy) Boyer, Ken Boyer, Beverley-Ann (Alain) Joliceour; as well as 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Josephine. The youngest of 13 children, Etienne was born on June 30, 1919 to Elzear and Marie-Anne Boyer. He was born and raised in St. Laurent, Man. where he resided for most of his life. He was a well educated and intelligent man who was an accountant by trade and a politician by passion. His home, built on a foundation of love for his children, was his most cherished possession. With an outstretched hand, his door was always open and everyone was welcome. Etienne had a great love for horses, birds and dogs. He was an avid sports watcher and gardener. Throughout his life, he had a great devotion to and was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He also spent many hours in many facets of community work even until late in his life. He will always be remembered by those that he loved. Etiennes family wishes to express sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Stonewall General Hospital for their care and support. Funeral services will be held at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church in St. Laurent, Man. on Saturday, March 18. Prayers and viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Father Isaic Blanchette o.m.i. will celebrate the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery following the mass. Pallbearers will be Daryll Allard, Edgar Bruce Jr., Shane Joliceour, Derrick Coutu, Clarence Chartrand and Duane Kolody. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
