SAMUEL BERNARD BOHEMIER Peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2000, Samuel Bernard Bohemier passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home. Sam was born in Winnipeg (St. Norbert), MB on March 20, 1923. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Randy (Darlene) daughter Tracey (Brad) Jamison; granddaughter Samantha; and his friend Nettie Gauthier; brothers, Robert (Jerry), Charlie (Claire), Johnny (Eleanor), Raymond, Roger and Gilbert; sisters, Lucille, Fernande, Louise, Simone; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sam was predeceased by his wife Freida of 45 years in 1992; parents, Joseph and Rose-Delima; his brother Leo; and his sisters, Aline, Marguerite and Jeanne. Sam was a member of the X11 Manitoba Dragoons during the Second World war. He became involved with construction upon his return to Winnipeg. His last position prior to his retirement was with the Manitoba Agriculture Credit Corporation as a Construction Supervisor. Sam loved construction and was one of the developers of the Bayshore Heights Cottage Development 9 miles north of Gimli. He loved the lake and would spend as much time as he could at his lakefront cottage in the summer. Sam loved to carve animals and birds out of wood and spent many hours at his new passion. He never lost his love of construction and was forever building something. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. at Chevrier Boulevard. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on 2 East at the Maples Personal Care Home for their help and kindness. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation of Canada, 390 Bay St., Suite 710, P.O. Box 19341, Stn. BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 3M1, in memory of Samuel. FATHER Who worked so hard and saved so long for what we have today; And anytime would sacrifice, His chance to rest and play. Who always saw his children have, The things he did without; And gave so much, unselfishly For thats what loves about. Who sought no honours, no rewards, For all that he had done; Except to raise a family, The very finest one. Though we cannot evaluate Our dad, his love, his worth, To us hell always be "Just Dad". The greatest guy on earth. You will always be missed... LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
