Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPIERRE C. BOIVIN It is with great sadness the family of Mr. Pierre C. Boivin, age 63 years, announce his passing on Sunday, June 11, 2000 at St. Josephs Hospital, 5 South, Thunder Bay, Ontario with his wife Linda by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Pierre is survived by his loving wife Linda, children, grandchildren, his father Paul, one brother Luc, and other relatives in Thunder Bay, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. Pierre was predeceased by his mother Jeanne in 1998. Pierre was born in St. Jean Sur Richelieu, Quebec, where he was raised and educated.He lived and worked for a number of years in Ottawa and Quebec before moving to Thunder Bay in the early 1980s. Pierre worked as a Naturopath and Health Care Practitioner with Dr. Dan Gleeson, and then Dr. Brian Schroeder, before opening his own clinic "Triangle of Health" in the fall of 1995. He also visited patients in Fort Frances, and at his Winnipeg Clinic. Pierre spent three years studying Chinese Herbal Medicine, and applied this knowledge in his practice. Pierre was very devoted to his patients and would assist anyone who needed his help. He was an active member of the Lakehead Catholic School Board, and had fought for French Language Schools in Thunder Bay. He enjoyed the outdoors - fishing, camping, gardening, and did some hobby farming. Pierre loved his pets - his quiet times, reading and music. According to Pierres wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland St., Thunder Bay, officiated by Rev. Fred Hubert of the Free Methodist Church, followed by a reception. A subsequent memorial service, with interment in the family plot, will take place at a later date in St. Jean Richelieu, Quebec. If friends so desire, as expressions of sympathy, donations would be appreciated in Pierres memory to St. Josephs Hospital, Shelter House, or PAWS (NORTH SUPERIOR) - all in Thunder Bay. Pierre - you will be remembered with gratitude For all the love and devotion you gave your patients, friends and loved ones.
