JAMES BELL BORTHWICK C.D. May 28, 1924 - July 23, 2000 On Sunday at the Concordia Hospital, James went to sleep. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, one sister. He is survived by his loving wife Jean; his sister Dorothy Lowe (Corwin) his father-in-law Donald McCrae, many nieces, nephews and all the kids that he was "Pops" to. He served with R.C.N.V.R. in the Second World War. He retired from the C.N.R. Jim was a member of the Rotary Club of Winnipeg and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, lifetime member of the Khartum Temple Patrol and a Director of the Naval Museum at H.M.C.S. Chippawa. Jim will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. A special thank you to the staff at the Concordia Hospital, the V.O.N. (Andrea) and Dr. H. T. Dirks, for the fabulous care he received. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Padre Stanley Millar officiating.
