GERTRUDE SNYDER BRANGAN Peacefully, on July 29, 2000 at the Fort Garry Care Centre, Gertrude passed away, aged 92 years. Born 1908 in Gilbert Plains, Man., she was a R.N. graduate in 1932 at the Winnipeg General Hospital. She retired in 1973 as a Nursing Supervisor at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Winnipeg. She was active in the Big Sisters Association of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her first husband, Edward Fender; her only child, daughter Donna and sisters, Ann and Nell. Gertrude is survived by her husband Richard Brangan, whom she married in 1975; her step-daughters, Lynne Barley and Lorraine McIntosh and by grandchildren, Grant (Cheryll) Wiebe and Krista Kamikawaji of Victoria, B.C. and Candace (Martin) McGarry of Winnipeg. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and her sister Alice. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will be in Brockside Cemetery. The family expresses thanks to the Fort Garry Care Centre for providing a loving home for Gertrudes final years.
