Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERHARD R. BOEHNKE (MOOSE) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing on July 23, 2000 of our beloved husband, father, opa, uncle and great-uncle, late of Fort St. James, B.C. Our Lord took Gerhard into his arms while asleep at home. Gerhard is sadly missed by Rotraut, his loving wife of 43 years; son Gerald (Michelle) of Masset, B.C.; daughter Carmen (Martin) with grandsons Jeremiah and Keenan of Fort St. James, B.C.; son Richard (Kelly) with grandsons Cameron and Jay of Saskatoon. Also left to cherish his memory are brothers, Manfred (Ingrid), Erich (Helga) sister Gerda (Josef) sister-in-law Ruth (Kurt) in Germany; sister Erna in PA - U.S.A., as well as many family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Gertrud, brothers Kurt and Werner, Germany. He came to Canada in 1952, a move he never regretted. He lived in Winnipeg for many years, worked for Versatile Manufacturing for 37 years until his early retirement in 1992, which he really enjoyed; then we took many trips in Canada, U.S.A. and Germany. His dream came true, an unforgettable trip to Alaska. His special joy was his cottage at Beresford Lake where he spent weekends and holidays with his family and friends going fishing, hunting or just watching wildlife, summer and winter. Gerhards love for the Canadian wilderness was passed on to his children. We thank you Dad. Just think of him as living In the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much Cremation has taken place and a private service was held in Fort St. James, B.C.
